What Is the Highest Mountain in the UK?

The highest mountain in the UK is the iconic Ben Nevis, standing at an impressive 1,345m tall. Ben Nevis is located in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands, close to the town of Fort William. The UK’s tallest mountain is part of the Grampian Mountain Range and attracts over 100,000 visitors every year – and with very good reason. Ben Nevis is truly stunning.

The highest mountain outside of Scotland, is Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), located in the picturesque Snowdonia National Park. Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and England and is one of Wales’ most famous landmarks. There are six different paths that lead to the summit of Snowdon, which can all be found here.
